SECI Announces Tender for 2,500 MW Wind Power Projects in India


Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a government entity operating under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), has recently released a tender inviting proposals for the establishment of 2,500 MW wind power projects across India.




Request for Selection (RfS) Document to Facilitate Developer Selection


SECI will initiate the selection process for Wind Power Developers by issuing a Request for Selection (RfS) document in the near future. This document will outline the criteria and guidelines for developers interested in participating in the Tranche XV of Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding.

Projects to Be Interconnected to ISTS Network in Multiple States


These wind power projects will be inter-connected to the Inter State Transmission System (ISTS) network in five states: Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra. 

SECI Announces Tender for 2,500 MW Wind Power Projects in India


SECI has allocated specific capacities for each state.


- Tamil Nadu: 300 MW capacity will be connected to the delivery point in Karur.

- Karnataka: 1,200 MW capacity will be distributed across Koppal, Gadag, Bidar, Bijapur, Devangiri, and Chitradurga.

- Telangana: 400 MW capacity will be established in Nizamabad, Rangareddy, and Medhak.

- Andhra Pradesh: 300 MW capacity will be set up in Kurnool and Ananthpur.

- Maharashtra: The remaining 300 MW capacity will be allocated to Solapur, Dhule, and Parli.




Compliance with Standard Bidding Guidelines for Wind Power Projects


SECI emphasizes that the tender process will adhere to the Standard Bidding Guidelines for Wind Power Projects issued by the Government, including any subsequent amendments and clarifications.
