CIL's coal allocation to the power sector under e-auction fell 29% in the first quarter

The state-owned miners produced 18.05 metric tons of coal from July 1 to 16 against the production of 19.61 metric tons in the same period last year.

The pitched stock of CIL was 72.88 MT on 16 July as compared to 33.17 MT in the same period last year.




Coal India, which accounts for over 80 per cent of domestic coal production, is eyeing 710 metric tonnes of coal production in 2020-21.
