New Delhi (Natural Energy News): To catalyze state-of-the-art solar cell manufacturing in India, NITI Aayog, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and Invest India are virtually organizing a global seminar 'India PV EDGE 2020' on 6 October.
India has become the third-largest solar potential country in the world.
A global symposium is being organized on 6 October by state-of-the-art solar cell manufacturing, NITI, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and Invest India, an official statement said. It will have a plenary session on 'Wafers and Sales', 'Module and Production Equipment' and 'Supply Chain' and subsequent sessions.

The statement said the solar deployment has been the key green growth story of the past decade and will be crucial to stimulate growth and build a climate-resilient world. India has become the third-largest solar capacity country in the world and has set an ambitious target of 450 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, including 300 GW of solar capacity.
Union Energy Minister, and New and Renewable Energy RK Singh, NITI Aayog Vice President Rajiv Kumar, and NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant will attend the plenary session. Around 60 prominent Indian and global CEOs have slated to be involved in the event.
