New Delhi (Natural Energy News): Domestic solar PV module manufacturer Vary Energies said on Thursday that it has placed an order of US $ 105 million (about Rs 760 crore) for the supply of solar panels in the US. The company said in a statement that the company has already supplied 3 GW of solar panels globally and more than 600 MW of solar EPC projects in India and South-East Asia.
"Waaree Energies placed USD 105 million order for a solar module from a US-based developer. It has received a 300+ MW order for solar panel supply in California USA. The module will be supplied for a project based in California, which Commission is likely to be received. The second or third quarter of 2021, "it said.

However, the company did not disclose the name of the US-based developer.
Sunil Rathi, director sales and marketing, Vary Energies, said, "The order is in line with the government's vision of Atmanirbhar India, and reflects the capabilities of Indian manufacturers to compete in the global market."
"We have recently completed the supply of 50 MW of solar modules to a Fortune 500 company in the US, and look forward to more such developments in the US."
He further said that the company is also planning to open a local office in California soon to strengthen its base in the country.
