NHDC Tenders for 25 MW Floating Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh

NHDC has floated a tender for eligible companies to undertake EPC work for a 25 MW floating solar power park at Omkareshwar reservoir in Madhya Pradesh.


Madhya Pradesh (Natural Energy News): NHPC Limited, a JV company of NHPC Limited and Madhya Pradesh Government, has floated a tender, inviting bids from eligible firms for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work for the 25 MW floating solar power park at Omeshwareshwar reservoir. In Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.





The park will include two floating solar power projects of 13 MW and 12 MW capacity. The scope of work for the selected bidders will include design, EPC and other related work for the commissioning of the project. Developers will be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the 33KV transmission line and switchyard affiliated at the plants and Sanawad for a period of five years from the date of successful commissioning.

The developers will have a period of 12 months to complete the work on successful commissioning of the project, after which the O&M period of 5 years will begin.


The last date for submission of bids is August 25, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the next date i.e. August 26, 2020. Later the date and time of opening of the price bids will be communicated to the technically approved bidders. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 123.32 crore and all bidders will have to earn an income of Rs 1.85 crore with their bids.


To be eligible, the bidder must have experience of successfully completing a solar power project during the last seven years on an EPC basis, with capabilities as of the last date of the month before the date of submission of the bid:

A solar power project of at least 20 MW capacity or


Two solar power projects of at least 12.5 MW capacity


Three solar power projects of at least 10 MW capacity.


In addition, the bidder must have successful experience of operation and maintenance for a minimum of 10 MW of solar power projects for at least one year during seven years.

Financially, the minimum average annual turnover of the bidder in the preceding financial years should be Rs 237 crore. And, working capital (current assets minus current liabilities) will be at least 2 times the monthly cash flow requirement i.e. Rs 19.73 crore.
