"One Sun, One World, One Grid", China's BRI is coming to blows India's new international program

India has taken a revolutionary step in the field of electricity to integrate the world into one formula. The central government has invited tenders for a plan named "One Sun One World One Grid" (OSOWOG) with a view to creating a global electricity grid.

A pre-bid meeting has been convened in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on 5 June regarding this scheme. A senior government official said that it is one of the most ambitious schemes launched by any country in the world and a plan of global importance in terms of economic profit sharing.

Explain that the ambitious scheme has been taken under technical assistance program of World Bank.

While the world is suffering from a coronavirus epidemic, India is making a global strategy. India is seen as a global leader in the solar sector and by creating a grid plan, India will meet the most basic demands of third world countries like electricity.

This will not only increase India's influence on those countries, but will also counter the growing influence of China. In addition, Chinese influence in African countries and other regions of the world will be less.

The proposal states that, "The Prime Minister of India recently called for the solar energy supply to go beyond its borders and connect other countries with the mantra of " One Sun One World One Grid "

The idea behind the OSOWOG mantra is based on the sun never sinking. The sun shines in any corner of the world for 24 hours.

According to the request of Proposal, the solar grid proposed by India will be divided into two zones.

First East Zone which will include countries like Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Lao, Cambodia.

The second one will be the West Zone, in which the countries of the Middle East and Africa region will be connected by a grid.

It is to be understood here that India has seen the shortage of electricity in third world countries and has made a great plan to meet it, which will fulfill the basic needs of those countries and they will be grateful to India.

The scheme is divided into three phases.

Under the first phase, the Middle East — South Asia — South East Asia (MESASEA) region will be added so that clean energy sources such as solar energy can be used to meet the demand for electricity.

In the second phase, MESASEA will be linked to African countries.

And then in the third phase it will be expanded globally.

The India's position becomes more important in the way the sentiment against China is growing. This plan of India is being seen as a counter to China's One Belt-One Road (OBOR) scheme.

Over the years, Beijing has trapped many countries in its debt trap, including African countries, under its BRI projects. But India has no such intention and has come up with a grid plan to help all countries.

India produces the cheapest solar power in the world, and the dependence on Chinese imports for solar cells has also decreased drastically over the years. Between April 2017 and March 2019, imports from China fell from US $ 2.8 billion to US $ 1.7 billion.

Now, there are many areas of the world where there is a dire need for low cost power supply. India has this golden opportunity to increase its influence in such areas.

The International Solar Alliance will also benefit from this plan of India. That is, this plan will increase India's stature globally.
