Solar energy charges reduced to Rs 2 per unit for all times

New Delhi (Natural Energy News): Solar Energy Corporation on Monday left a low of Rs 2 per unit in an auction conducted by Solar Energy Corporation (SECI).

Under the SECI auction that began on Monday, Saudi Arabian firm Alozmeih Energy and Water Co-end Sembcorp Energy India Arm Green Infra Wind Energy Ltd was quoted as the lowest bidder for the capacity of 200MW and 400MW by quoting a tariff of Rs 2 per unit. Emerged in form.

The source further said that NTPC quoted a price of Rs 2.01 per unit for 600 MW capacity.

However, NTPC will get a balance of 470 MW as it bid 600 MW as it is L2 (second lowest) in the auction.

In July this year, the solar power tariff was reduced to Rs 2.36 per unit in the 2GW capacity auction by SECI.
