New Delhi (Natural News): Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender for setting up 1,070 MW (MW) grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects in Rajasthan.

It added that developers would have to submit a single bid for any quantity starting at a minimum size of up to 1070 MW, going up to 1,070 MW. Projects will be built on their own and can be located anywhere in the state.

SECI will enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with a successful bidder and sell the purchased power to Rajasthan Energy Development Corporation Limited.

The commissioning period of projects is 18 months from the PPA effective date.

“Projects should be designed for interconnection with substations closest to the state transmission utility at voltage levels of 33 kV or above. The developer will set up the solar project, which includes a dedicated transmission network for interconnection/delivery points, at its cost, "SECI.

However, bidders will be free to select transmission utility substations to grid for interconnection of the project.
